find, review and critique journal articles, do a student observation.
Send back a reflection on each of the five assignment packets and a
written narrative of your student observation.]

All courses are 2 semester credits and cost $280 per course.
For no-credit courses the cost is $200 per course.


CTED 529 The Misunderstood Child
An overview of learning differences and disabilities that provides a study of the assessment, evaluation and diagnosis of the child with sensory integration, autism, dyslexia, Asperger's Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, LD and giftedness.  Course provides guidance in implementing plans for maximizing the child's strengths in learning and adapting when challenged by weaknesses.

CTED 695 Understanding Autism 
The course provides an opportunity in understanding Autism Spectrum disorders.  Participants will learn about the basic background of ASD, including different strategies, techniques and reading about unique one of a kind ways in helping students with learning.

CTED 775 The Out-of-Sync Child: Sensory Integration
Sensory Integration is the overlooked problem for students with learning problems. Have a child in class whose out-of-control, acts differently than others, disrupts class, makes your day stressful? Research indicates that 70% of children with learning disabilities have some sensory integration processing problems. This course will help you as a teacher to understand the out-of-bound child in a new light. The information obtained from this course will help make your classroom more conducive to learning for the difficult, disruptive and sensitive child.

CTED 895 Internet Content for the Classroom:
A course that provides K-12 websites for teachers with a step-by-step path to navigate the world of information on the Internet to help you move swiftly and efficiently through a portfolio of high quality secure Web Sites.  The course will provide new opportunities to enhance classroom lessons by weaving Internet information and activities with lesson plans correlated with standards. All disciplines will be covered K-12.

CTED 973 Learning Differences in Boys and Girls
This course will show the learning differences between boys and girls that help in understanding how they learn. The course will address a number of areas in which boys and girls differ in learning behavior, brain function and language development. Balancing the inequities between boys and girls will also be covered.
